Payam Ghassemlou Ph.D., MFT, SEP (he/him) is a caring  counselor with over twenty years of experience helping his clients heal and grow from life’s overwhelming challenges. He has a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology, a Master of Science in Counseling, and many years of training in body-mind modalities. His somatic approach to counseling is one of his services that he offers to the community. He is a SEP (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner) and member of the Somatic Experiencing® 

International.

Presently, he maintains a private practice.

Dr. Payam has many years of experience offering mindfulness and meditation practices, mental health/ psychotherapy services, life coaching, teaching at the David Geffen School of Medicine, LGBTQ community outreach, HIV/AIDS education, and fulfilling his other passion: somatic/body-oriented approach toward healing and personal growth.
